1.Homemade cards: Computers may be the best way in assisting to make a homemade card (If crayons and markers work, go for it). Scrapbooks are for those who are looking for a more creative project, and have more time on their hands.
4. Mix tape: This may be a little cliché; nonetheless, it is definitely a money and time saver. This is perfect gift idea, because, when it comes down to it, who doesn't like music. Burn some of the tunes that he/she might enjoy, and throw in some of the old school romantics. Of the 13 or 14 songs burned, they have to like at least one song, right?

7. Cheap Movie Night: Rent his or her favorite movies and spend the whole night with each other, laughing, crying, and cuddling to each movie. Grab some popcorn and drinks and everything is set for the night.

Valentine's Day, today, seems as if it is an excuse for companies to make more money off of students who don't really need to spend the little money that they do have. Major companies use this holiday to exploit its true meaning. That is why people should find alternative gifts rather then buying giant teddy bears that say "I Love You" or getting roses that will die in a couple of days.
