A trip to the mall was never this exciting.

Every year Valentines Day arrives and people hurry to stores to buy their loved ones goodies. Also every year at least five movies to do with live come out.

This year, instead of spending money and going out to dinner, why not call it a movie night and just cuddle up on the couch?

To be fair, the movies are both for men and women. Throughout the years, women have forced their loved ones to watch movies such as The Notebook and Titanic. The five movies presented in this article are not only going to be funny, but also about love, so everyone wins.

To start the night off, why not start with a comedy. There will be two comedies on the list, but this one would be make the best opener. Wedding Crashers is not only a movie men love, but women can relate to.

The movie stars Jeremy Grey (Vince Vaughn) and John Beckwith (Owen Wilson) as two men who crash weddings to get girls. Their plan is to crash the biggest wedding ever in Washington. Things go wrong and John Beckwith falls for the daughter of the Secretary of Treasury, William Cleary (Christopher Walken), Claire Clearly (Rachel McAdams). In the mean time, Jeremy Grey crashes the wedding with Cleary's other daughter, the sex-addicted Gloria Cleary (Isla Fisher).

Gloria Clearly invites the "brothers" to stay at her parents' estate for the weekend. Jeremy sees this as a chance to just keep having sex with this girl, while John is given the chance to get closer to Claire. Although Claire is engaged, you get to see how she starts to fall for John.

In the mean time, although it was just about the sex in the beginning, Jeremy starts to fall for the sex addict. But what will happen when everyone finds out that they are wedding crashers?

After finding out what happens with John and Jeremy, jump into Garden State. It is Zach Braff's first written and directe

d film, and it shows us a generation beyond our imagination.

We are introduced to Andrew Largeman (Zach Braff), who after being in Hollywood since becoming an adult, has to return home for his mother's funeral. When we are first introduced to him, we know that he is a drug addict sine he is taking anti-depressants and Lithium prescribed by his shrink, who coincidently is his father.

Andrew decides to stop taking his medication and sees this trip home as a get-away. This get-away turns out to be just what Andrew needed.

On the way to salvation, he re-encounters old friendships and new ones that he never could have imagined. That's where the love part, and Sam (Natalie Portman), come along.

After your stay in Jersey, why not visit the creative mind of Kevin Smith. Although this was a hard decision because Kevin Smith movies are all good, I ended up going with the less serious one, Mallrats.

Who ever thought that a trip to the mall could be so hectic? Kevin Smith did, and in this movie we get to see different relationships become torn apart by things that all of us do.

On the same day, two best friends, Brodie Bruce (Jason Lee) and T.S. Quint (Jeremy London) get dumped by their girlfriends. Although at the moment they don't realize it, throughout the day they can't seem to get along with out their significant others.

For Brodie, treating his girlfriend less important than comic books is OK. But finally Rene Mosier (Shannen Doherty) has enough and calls it quits. At the same time, T.S. is getting dumped by his girlfriend, just because. So what do they do, they go to the mall and try to get their girlfriends back. On the way they encounter friends, create mayhem, and try to salvage the rest of their relationships.

After your trip to the mall, let's go to a more realistic and serious toned movie. Love Actually isn't as popular as it should be, but boy does it make for a good movie. Although the setting is Christmas, it's such a good movie that it can be seen all year around.

With a huge cast of stars, we go through the lives of six couples. Throughout the movie, you get to see different things happen to each couple. You have the man whose wife dies, and then all of a sudden his son becomes love-struck. There's the lonely women who has been in love with her co-worker but because of family dedication, doesn't have the time to date.

There's also a prime minister who tends to fall for one of his staff members while trying to save his country. There's a man who gets cheated on and then falls for the woman hired to help him stay organized while writing his book.

The last two couples are about dedication to marriage. You have one couple who have been married for as long as they can remember, and yet when a young woman comes along, the relationship is questioned. In the mean time, a pair of newlyweds couldn't be happier, but the best friend of the husband is in love with the wife.

There are also some funny couples. You have these two people who are actor stand-ins who fall for each other, and this native who feels like he should go to America because they'll love his British accent.

To end the night off, why not watch a classic. Sixteen Candles by John Hughes has always been a favorite for teenagers. Samantha Baker (Molly Ringwald) is turning sixteen, but her birthday is overshadowed because her sister is getting married, and her family doesn't remember.

Since no one is paying attention to Sam, she struggles with boy problems alone. She is in love with the most popular guy in school, and figures he doesn't even know who she is.

We go from school dance, to house party and it all seems too familiar since we have done this in our teenage years. The end of the movie is too good for me to spoil, but I must confess this is more of a chick flick. In the end it won't matter because the stuff that happens in the movie is all too funny.

This Valentines Day, take a day off and just hang out on the couch. Whether you choose to see all five movies or just one, they are all worth your time.
