The end of 2007 and the beginning of 2008 have taken Hollywood by storm with the announcement of new celebrity expectancies and the deliveries of others.
The most shocking baby news came from Jamie Lynn Spears, whom at the age of sixteen has announced that she is a mother to be. This is the most talked about pregnancy in Hollywood, given she was a teen star on the Nickelodeon show Zoey 101. After the announcement of her pregnancy, the show's ratings skyrocketed and the production decided to air a special on teen pregnancy.
Other famous celebrities that have announced their pregnancies are Nicole Kidman with husband Keith Urban, Jessica Alba with fiancé Cash Warren, and model Camila Alues with Matthew McConaughey.
Also on the baby watch are Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez. Lopez recently had her baby shower held in New York City and is due in the spring. Berry recently emerged and her baby bump has grown, but she is keeping healthy by maintaining a stable diet and continuing her gym workouts.
On the sad front, musician Lily Allen recently suffered a miscarriage and was left devastated and said to be in a "state of shock" (entertainment tonight). Unfortunately, she and her boyfriend Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons are in despair after placing high hopes on this pregnancy.
Another starlet who went from pregnant to "no longer pregnant" was Pamela Anderson who recently filed for divorce from husband Rick Salomon (he is most known for his sex tape with Paris Hilton).
Finally, Hollywood recently welcomed Harlow Winter Kate Madden and Max Liron Bratman. The proud parents of Harlow are Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. This baby girl was born on Jan. 11, and weighed in at six pounds, seven ounces and a length of 19 inches. Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman had son Max born on Jan 12, weighing in at six pounds, two ounces and 20 ½ inches. Both celebrities gave birth at Cedars-Sinai hospital.
The baby bump trend so far this year is really catching on; Angelina Jolie is supposedly expecting twins.
