Alex Pandolfi- Welcome Paw Print readers, to the Setter Stage that is a little over four years in the making. The interviewer himself Jonathan Quartuccio is interviewed. So let's get started, when we recently spoke Tooch, you told me this story on how you fell down a flight of stairs. I won't get into the details of the story, you can if you want, but how are you feeling since the incident?
Jonathan Quartuccio- I was showering and one of my roommates attacked me and bombarded me with clothes, hats, and food. So, I ran out of the shower and after him unclothed and fell down the stairs. I received a bruise on the left cheek of my behind. Since, it has recovered swimmingly.
AP- It's good to hear the recovery is going well. How does it feel to be answering questions instead of dishing them out?
JQ-It's a little weird being on the other side. I have never been interviewed after four plus years of interviewing. It's shocking not being the one prepared.
AP- Now you aren't a Pace athlete, but you were an athlete at one point in your life right?
JQ- Yes, through high school. Predominately track, but I played a few years of football.
AP-Ok, well including this section of the paper you have been quite involved with Pace Athletics correct?
JQ- Since freshman year I started working as a broadcaster for basketball and in some capacity I have been working with every sport since.
AP- If tryouts weren't required and you were just accepted, what pace team would you like to play on?
JQ- It would have to be football or baseball; I care about those sports most. Baseball is my passion so I would have to lean more towards baseball.
AP- Good choice, ok so let's get down to business. Over the years with Setter Stage something I have noticed and has grinded my gears is the numerous questions about cereal. What's up with all the cereal questions Tooch?
JQ- I like to think of myself as a person that gives all persons a chance, regardless of race, creed or gender. Cereal in a way is like the people I surround myself with. Some are lucky charms marshmallows, some are fruity pebbles and some are coco puffs. The variety of cereal is what draws me to its essence.
AP-That's a very deep answer there Tooch. If you could only have one cereal for the rest of your life what would it be?
JQ- I asked this question to Danielle Jones last year, and it really is unanswerable. It depends on the mood I'm in. Just as each day is different each bowl of cereal won't be the same.
AP- Well it's obvious that you have a profound love for cereal. Is there any one cereal you don't like?
JQ- I'm a lover, not a fighter. Though some cereals I may not consume as much as others, I love all my cereals equally. I give no special treatment to any one cereal even though K thinks he is special.
AP- If you could invite three celebrities to have dinner with who would they be? The celebrities can be dead or alive.
JQ- Jesus Christ, George Herman "Babe" Ruth and Jennifer Aniston the love of my life.
AP- Sounds like a pretty good dinner arrangement to me. Tooch, I'm a big fan of old school wrestling and I can see you as a fan as well after the Setter Stage with the Macho King and the Ultimate Warrior a few months back. Would I be correct in thinking this?
JQ- Very true, very correct. I was a big Bret Hart fan and I tried to resemble him as best as I could this past Halloween. I even gave someone the sharpshooter.
AP- I'm glad to hear it. If you were going to step into a wrestling ring what would your wrestling name be?
JQ- Tenacious Tooch. I know that's terrible and I probably wouldn't win many fights.
AP- The name is alright…I guess. Anyway, if Hollywood were to make a movie about you, who would play Jon Quartuccio?
JQ- You would have to get someone who is dashing, whimsical and incredibly strong. I would have to say the most logical answer is Brad Pitt.
AP- I think that's a good answer. He did go out with Jennifer Aniston. If you had a song play anytime you walked into a room. A theme song if you will. What song would it be?
JQ- Elderly Woman Behind a Counter in a Small Town by Pearl Jam
AP- Now, I know you're a fan of certain professional sports teams like the New York Mets and the Buffalo Bills but what would you say your favorite team is?
JQ- It's got to be the Buffalo Bulls. I'm a long time suffering Bills fan; my last memories of crying were during their four Superbowl losses. I still think that was a forward pass in the Tennessee game as well.
AP- If you mean that pass reference to the Music City Miracle I have to fully disagree with you as a fan of the Tennessee Titans. Anyway, we will agree to disagree on that topic. Christmas is the holiday of giving and this is the last Paw Print issue before Christmas. What would you give the Buffalo Bills for Christmas if money isn't a factor?
JQ-A Superbowl win, more so for the Buffalo Bill fans.
AP- During your last Setter Stage with basketball player Maurice Douglas, you asked if you reader's will miss you and in his response he stated, "Whoever is going to replace you has huge shoes to fill." As the person who is going to replace you, how big are those shoes Tooch?
JQ- Size 11, you know what they say about big shoes…big socks.
AP- Alright, take is easy Tooch. If you readers were wondering I'm a size 12 ½ so I can fill Tooch's shoes with an inch and a half to spare. In all seriousness though it will be hard for me to live up to what you have done, but I will do my best to do justice to Setter Stage. So, after you're done with Pace what happens next Tooch?
JQ- I'm currently looking for a full time job somewhere in the media field whether it be TV, media or print.
AP- Ok well we are nearing the end here Tooch; I'm going to miss you. Before we bring this to an end any last words for the readers?
JQ- I will severely miss this university with all my heart. The memories I made here will last a lifetime. For those who say they don't like Pace, remember it is the people who make up Pace and the people are wonderful. I will miss you all and I love you all. Thank you for the opportunity for being on Setter Stage.
AP- You're very welcome, you deserve it Tooch. I wish you luck with the rest of your life and all its endeavors. Keep in touch.
