Dec. 5, Pleasantville- Pace's swimming team honored their two seniors Ellen Lynch and Meaghan Morley during Pace's last home swim meet of the season against Queens College.
Unfortunately for Lynch and Morley, the women's swim team couldn't pull out the win over the Knights of Queens College when they left the Setters in the dust with a 127-81 score.
The Setters did their part on the men's side of swimming as they swam past the Knights for a 58-52 victory.
Despite the fact that the women did not take home the win overall, Lynch and Morley did have an impressive outing. Morley came in first place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.35 seconds.
Lynch and Morley, along with freshman Callie Grace and sophomore Erin Johansson, obtained a first place win for the team during the 200-yard medley relay clocking in at 2.02.45.

Lynch, along with sophomore Katherine Wojdyla, freshmen Laura Carvajal, and Nicole Hensel, helped the Setters to wrap up another first place in the evening during the 200-yard freestyle relay combining for a time of 1.49.09.
The Setters' men were led to their win by juniors Peter Byrnes and Craig McClintock. Both swimmers finished in first place during three separate races.
Byrnes placed first in the 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle races, while McClintock came in first during the 1,000 yard freestyle, 200-yard IM and 100-yard backstroke events.
The Setters swimming and diving team has no more home events but they still swim on as they face off against Vassar College on Jan. 19 in Poughkeepsie New York.
