Mary Kate Olsen is finally letting go of her counter part, Ashley, and doing things on her own.

Best known for playing Michelle Tanner on Full House, Mary Kate Olsen has come a long way.

Olsen was born on July 23, 1986 alongside her twin Ashley. Both being cast together as Michelle Tanner, they each grew up with fame. Their childhood wasn't like ours. As everyone knows, the Olsen's made an industry for them selves.

From movies (17 to be exact) to books and even fashion, the siblings seemed to have it all. Because of this, the Olsen's have made it on to Forbes' "The Celebrity 100 list" since 2002, and in 2007, Forbes ranked them, collectively, as the eleventh-richest women in entertainment, with an estimated net worth of $100 million.

Now the Olsen twins have been at it together since they were little Michelle Tanner, but things changed, and although things were good for a while, things just aren't the same for the Olsen twins anymore.

After fighting a battle with anorexia and then going on to fight rumors of drug abuse, Mary Kate Olsen seems to be the one who we thought was going down the hill. Boy, are we wrong to criticize so soon. Mary Kate bounced back to action, alone this time, and is trying to come back as one of our favorite grown up child actors.

Recently Olsen was featured on You Magazine, solo. This says a lot about the star since her and her sister are usually inseparable. But that seemed to have been the start of a trend. Olsen later made a short, but known appearance, in Factory Girl, with Sienna Miller. Although her part was small and didn't seem to pop out much, this might just be the stepping stone she needs to get back into Hollywood status.

Her short appearance on Factory Girl might just be the reason for her recurring guest role on the Showtime series, Weeds. Starting off slowly getting back into the industry, Olsen already has two upcoming roles in the films The Wackness, an independent film co-staring, Ben Kinsley, and The Informers with Billy Bob Thornton. Both films are scheduled to come out in the year 2008.

The best thing that seems to be happening to Olsen though, may just be what we all expected sooner or later. Criticized for her fashion sense, MK has done all the fashion feaux paws and errors through trial. Fashion trends change and so do the people controlling it.

In the New York Times, Marky Kate Olsen was acclaimed for her style trend, the "homeless" look. The style is known to us as "Boho-chic", and we see it very often by Britain's Kate Moss and Sienna Miller. Usually the look puts big glasses, boots, big loose shirts, and flowy skirts together. The style is mixed with high end pieces and really cheap pieces to give it the sense of not being over done.

Mary Kate has two clothing lines with her sister at the moment, Real Fashion For Real Girls at Wal-Mart, and their recently new couture line, "The Row" named after the famous Savile Row. Also, a part of that fashion line is, Elizabeth & James, named after Savile Row's children. "The Row" is what Mary Kate is all about at the moment. Though she is excited about her new start in films, fashion seems to be her main focus.

On this month's issue of NYLON Magazine, Mark Kate blessed the front cover, giving NYLON a lot of appraisal for finally putting someone worthy of the magazine. She discuses her fashion and states, "I don't consider myself a trendsetter. I just try to have fun and dress to suit my mood."

Back to her blonde roots, it seems that Mary Kate is going back to her old roots as well. But this time, alone. Though the fashion line is both Mary Kate's and Ashley's, it's clear to see that Mary Kate is getting more credit for it, and she doesn't seem to be minding it.

Our little Michelle Tanner is all grown up, and it seems that maybe this time Mary Kate might be going in the right direction as an adult.
