Family Force finished the NYC show by coming back on stage to play two more songs.

The "luv addicts" of Atlanta, Georgia or better known as Family Force Five brought the Dance Rawr Dance tour to New York City at the Knitting Factory on the evening of November 9th, 2007.

The Dance Rawr Dance Tour which also included guests The Secret HandShake and Jonezetta was sold out, leaving fans disappointed outside the club in the pouring rain.

The club filled up to its capacity and people were pushed up against each other, with not even a little extra elbow space. The fans were anxious to start shaking and of course dancing as they tried to get as close to the stage as possible.

The first act The Secret Handshake went on at 6:45PM. The Secret Handshake or just Luis, is an indie and electronic artist from Texas. As the first song started fans didn't waste any time as they started to show off some dance moves.

Luis sat in front of his keyboard with his apple laptop on his side and sang the sweetest notes to songs such as "Midnight Movie" and "Game Girl." Luis couldn't help but to get up out of his seat and dance with the crowd. The modo he goes by is "If you don't dance, you hate your parents," and fans couldn't have agreed more as the crowd put their hands up and showed off their best moves.

Luis slowed it down when he sang "Costal Cities" for fans to catch their breath, but little did they know, Luis caught them by surprise and sped up the song.

Luis finished off his 30 minute set with his single "Summer of '98." I wrote some song cause I loved her… were some familiar lyrics that fans sang along to. With the high volume of noise coming from the crowd, you could barely hear Luis.

The Secret Handshake finished up strong and for the fans, the night was just getting started as there were two more "Dance Rawr Dance" bands lined up.

Jonezetta was next. A not so well known indie rock band from Jackson, Mississippi who managed to capture the audience with their smooth jams.

The band is much like acts such as The Killer and Franz Ferdinand, but they are here to rejuvenate the pop landscape. This 'nerdy' band knows how to have fun too without taking everything so serious all the time.

The crowd had a mixed reaction to the Mississippi band, but overall people who were fans of Jonezetta enjoyed it. Their songs were silly and fans definitely got into the mood to move. Jonezetta's set included songs from their 'popularity' album and cover songs from their idol The Beatles.

Lead singer Robert Chisolm enjoys performing and hopes to one day sell a billion records and tour every continent. For a debut on Tooth & Nails record they are doing pretty well and the fans aren't complaining. As their last song finished fans couldn't have enjoyed their poppy songs more.

By8:30PM the crowd was all sweaty, but still manage to have energy left for the band of the night, Family Force 5. The five guys of Family Force 5 called themselves, Soul Glow (lead singer), Fatty (bassists), Crouton (drums), Nadaddy (DJ), and Chap Stique (guitar). With silly names, of course these guys are funny on stage playing their rock crunk music.

This band was not used to New York City's chilly weather as they are from the 'dirty dirty' south, Atlanta, Georgia, but the energy in the crowd kept them hot all night.

While watching a Family Force 5 show, there's always some break dancing action in the background as they travel with a personal dancer. It is impossible to not move your body when listening to Family Force 5.

The mosh pit or shall it be called the 'dance pit' was in full swing from front to back. Soul Glow mentioned during the middle of the set that New York City has a lot of pretty people, but there are also some ugly people and that was when they started their song "Put Ur Hands Down." This fun song has lyrics such as "ugly people put ur hands down." Every single person in the crowd had their hands up and every one of them was dancing.

When playing the song "Luv Addicts" Soul Glow went back stage to put on his famous silver glows. The night was still young only 9:30PM when the Family boys finished their set, but the crowd wasn't ready to go. The fans screamed 'one more song', but since it is Family Force 5 they played not one, but two extra songs just for their fans.

Fans then packed into the merchandise room to meet the boys, it was so crowded. Fans enjoyed themselves while the guys from not only Family Force 5, but also the Secret Handshake and Jonezetta met and greeted their fans. It didn't seem as cold anymore when I left the Knitting Factory that rainy Friday night.
