Ever notice several of the roads around the Pleasantville and Briarcliff campuses have no names?
In an effort to "name Pace," the Student Association (S.A.) has set up a forum on blackboard where students can nominate titles for the nameless streets throughout the two campuses.
Several students have been participating already. Some of the posted suggestions include: Salmon House Lane and Choate Circle for the circle in front of Choate House; Set the Pace Way and Educational Way for the main road from entrance 2, and The Road to Greatness for the road that intersects Setter's Way up the hill to the Goldstein Academic Center.
The other streets that need names for the Pleasantville campus include: the main road from entrance one, the circle across from the townhouses, and the road next to the Goldstein Fitness center that intersects with Setter's Lane. For Briarcliff: the main road starting from the entrance, the loop in front of new dorm, the road by Howard Johnson and Hillside, the road behind the Briarcliff dining hall and the road behind Woodward.
Faculty and staff are also able to contribute to the naming process. John Agnelli, Director of Student Development and Campus Activities, said that there will possibly be time set aside at tomorrow's community meeting for nominating names.
The names will be voted this Friday at the S.A. meeting.
Agnelli said the new street signs should be up by next semester.
