Students, faculty, and staff are now able to take advantage of an extra half hour of dinning hall in the Kessel Student Center, now that hours have been extended from 8:00am to 7:30am.

Lackmann Culinary Services, the company that supplies the dining hall food for Pace, extended the hours on Oct. 15 and will continue if enough students, faculty, and staff use the extra time.

"I have heard quite a few students say they are happy to have the opportunity to eat in the cafe before their 8:00am classes," said Adam Miller, General Manager of Lackmann, in an email to the Paw Print.

Miller said the decision was made based on a meeting with the Residence Hall Association (RHA) as well as "a few" inquires from faculty and staff.

"Based on the meetings, Miller said "we felt that it would be a very good decision to make the change."

A similar decision was made last semester when the hours at the Miller Hall Kiosk were also expanded from 8:00 to 7:30 am.

According to Miller, Lackmann is also looking at the Briarcliff Café's hours to see if there is a demand for increased morning hours there as well.

At a meeting last Monday, Lackmann met again with RHA to get feedback from the change as well as from any other inquires from students.
