A. It's been wonderful. I love the expansion, it's really been terrific.
Q. Have there been any hardships?
A. We're working on a plan to make significant changes in the University. It's challenging, but it's been very gratifying. Everyone's been cooperative and supportive. There will be a broader strategic planning process that will involve student representatives that will be announced later this month.
Q. When will you be visiting the Pleasantville campus?
A. I'm here almost every week.
Q. Has Pace me their quota for enrollment?
A. We are ahead of our planned enrollment for the new class. A number of students haven't paid tuition, and that sometimes changes the numbers. I expect to be on budget though.
Q. Who decides to increase the tuition?
A. It's a board decision that is based on my recommendation.
Q. How is an increase decided upon?
A. We turn to the budget, and revenues are important. We base our budget on planned enrollment.
Q. Does the school believe there was any foul play that might have caused the fire at the Townhouses?
A. I haven't gotten the final report, but the fire marshals are still investigating.
Q. Is our former President, David Caputo still employed by Pace?
A. He's on Pace Sabbatical, and he's an employee in the sense that he's receiving pay. When he gets back, he could sign on as a Political Science Professor.
