This fall Fox unites two seasoned Emmy award winning actors, Kelsey Grammer, Frasier and Cheers, and Patricia Heaton, Everybody Loves Raymond, in a new series Back to You.

Grammer, who is best known for his role as Dr. Fraiser Crane, Frasier, as well as his 9 episode stint on The Simpsons as the voice of Side-show Bob, is one of the first actors who has obtained multiple Emmy nominations for appearing in the same role for three series.

According to imdb.com, the hit series Fraiser aired from 1993 to 2004, and had 263 episodes. Cheers aired from 1984 to 1993 and had 201 episodes. Dr. Fraiser Crane has become one of most well-known television characters. One might also recognize Grammer from his strangely good role as Dr. Hank McCoy (Beast) in X-Men 3: The Last Stand.

Co-star Heaton is also best known for her role as Debra Barone on the popular comedy series Everybody Loves Raymond. The show aired in 1996 and finished its series in 2005 leaving Heaton with 205 airing episodes.

Both Grammer and Heaton got their start on Broadway. Now they will be staring alongside each other playing the roles of two anchors, Chuck Darling and Kelly Carr.

The show is set in Pittsburgh in the '90s and they are the number one local news team. Hmm, sounds a little bit like Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone. Darling and Carr appear to have all the essential attributes of a great team, but when the cameras go off the claws come out. Darling has many of the same characteristics of Burgundy, he's self-centered and a bit of a womanizer, while Carr thinks she knows everything and is wound way too tight.

The show also stars some other recognizable actors such as Fred Willard, also known as Ed Harkin in Anchorman, as the sports anchor Marsh McGinley, Ayda Field, Studio 60, as the perky weather girl Montana Diaz Herrera, and Ty Burrell, In Good Company, as the poor abandoned field reporter who is always left in the dark.

Everything seems to be going well for the number one news team until a career damaging on-air outburst finds its way on the internet. With his career spiraling downward, Darling finds himself wondering perhaps being with different women and living out of hotel rooms does not live up to its hype. He then receives one call that could turn it all around, but will he be able to ignite those old on-air sparks with his former co-anchor Carr?

According to trade magazine Variety, Back to You airs on Fox, Wednesdays, which typically is no easy task especially for new show. However, Fox entertainment proxy Peter Liguori has faith in the show because of Grammer and Heaton's comedic experience and their familiar faces.

Liguori states, "The show is funny, that's why it's on the schedule and we have confidence to lead the night off with it."

Mike Duffy stated about the premiere "The snap, crackle and pop of witty dialogue well delivered." The first episode impressed viewers of both previews shows both main actors were in, but will the episodes to come keep the audience wanting more.

See for yourself what you think of Back To You on Wednesday nights at 8pm on Fox.
